In May 2006 Emily Johns travelled to Iran on a Fellowship of Reconciliation delegation during a period of international tension over Iran's nuclear programme. She produced a body of imagesdealing with the complex relationship between Iran, oil, and Britain. The work weaves together the larger international dynamics, the mutual cultural influence, and more intimate personal connections of Iranian-British relations. The pictures are accompanied by a text from Milan Rai.
