Span Arts came into being in 1998 following the decline of Taf and Cleddau Arts, to carry out the work of promoting the arts in Pembrokeshire. Span Arts has always focussed mainly on the performing arts and on community celebrations. Over the years, Span has been involved in ten children's festivals, and has been a part of the Fishguard Jazz Festival, Tenby Blues Festival and the Narberth Food Festival.
In 2005, Span helped organise the re-opening of Narberth Castle, and since then we have put on a variety of outdoor events there.
In 2007/8, Span was able to purchase its building at Town Moor, so we now have a permanent home.

Span Arts is a community arts charity. Our aim is to support the arts in Pembrokeshire, and in particular the performing arts. We put on gigs, performances and events in the Queen's Hall in Narberth and in various other venues, and we run workshops and arts activities for children and adults.
You can be a Span Arts member for £15 a year. You'll get a £2 discount on every ticket, and you can come to the Span Arts Christmas Cabaret... But most importantly, you'll be helping us to bring the best in the arts to Pembrokeshire.

Span Arts relies on volunteers to help us to run our events. If you are interested in volunteering, please get in touch - every time you help out at a gig you'll get a free ticket for another gig, and we provide full training.

Span is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee, and is managed by a voluntary group of trustees. Span employs a business manager and an administrator to run the organisation day-to-day, but as a charity, all of the long-term decisions are taken by the trustees, who are volunteers.
