Festival
Contemporary
music based on an orginal repertoire. Since training under the direction
of influential pianist Keith Tippet at the Welsh College of Music and
Drama, Ben Thomas has performed with many high profile performers including
pop groups Gorky's Zygotic Mynci (with the Manic Street Preachers),
the Afternoons and top jazz musician Tony Levin. Ben has worked extensively
on live tv, recorded several sessions for Radio 1, Radio 2 and Radio
3, as well as countless interviews and performances for local stations
throughout the UK including BBC West Midlands and BBC Wales. Ben has
recorded with many other artists including his trio "mosaic",
which features inspirational pianist Brian Waite and renowned double
bassist Erika Lyons. He has performed at many major festivals throughout
the UK including Reading, Leeds, Cheltenham, Brecon and Fishguard 2004,
as well as major European venues such as Notre Dame Cathedral, St David's
Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Cardiff International
Arena.
James
Chadwick has performed with some of the biggest names in jazz including
Chris Garrick, Will Gaines, Jeff Clyne and Steve Waterman. He has taught
on the prestigious Jamey Aebersold Jazz Course and has performed at many
top venues and festivals throughout Europe including Brecon, Ealing, Fishguard
2004 and Silda in Norway.
