CANDIDO FABRE is a big star of Cuban music, considered one of the most versatile and ingenious soneros of Cuba. His songs have been performed by Orquestra Aragon, Los Van Van, Celia Cruz, and many others His vocal improvisations have been described as "the greatest since Beny More."

CANDIDO FABRE'S first album went straight in to the top ten of all important world music charts. The band toured their high energy show at 42 of the main festivals in Europe, and it was an enormous success.  CANDIDO FABRE Y SU BANDA, are a stunning 12 piece orchestra full of Cuban fire, and have an amazing capacity to pull the audience into the various Cuban rhythms, son, salsa and charanga. A rare chance to enjoy a genuine Cuban dance show touring the UK and returning to the Queens Hall after 10 years.

Candido and his band recorded their first album for Tumi Music in 1996, ‘Son de Cuba’ (Tumi 057), followed by two further albums: ‘Poquito a poco’ (TMG CD2) and ‘La Habana quiere guarachar contigo’ (Tumi 097). ‘Cubano soy’ is their fourth album and some of the songs feature in the forthcoming DVD: ‘Make poverty history / Live in Edinburgh’ filmed during the Live 8 festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, which they headlined in July 2005. With their amazing capacity to pull the audience into the various Cuban rhythms and Candido's talent of improvising and communicating with the spectators have all made his concerts big successes.
