THE CROOK FAMILY Three of Pembrokeshire's most talented musicians came together last winter to sing beautiful songs. The magnificent Tim Williams with Sarah Richards and Jon Sharpe produced a classic collection of original songs for 'The Crook Family Album' some of which they will sing tonight . "These songs were ground out on late nights, sore fingers, broken voices and the thickening light of the Pembrokeshire winter." www.myspace.com/thecrookfamily |

HAZEL O'CONNOR UNPLUGGED with Cormac De Barra (Harp) & Fionán de Barra (Guitar)With the release of the long awaited Hidden Heart’ album, Hazel O’Connor is back on a national UK acoustic tour with a chance to get up-close and personal in a unique and intimate show format. Hazel teams up with celebrated harpist Cormac De Barra. Cormac has been performing with Hazel since 1998, after their first project, ‘Beyond Breaking Glass', dubbed "the highlight of the Edinburgh Festival.” They have since travelled the world together performing. Hazel and Cormac are joined by the multi-talented Fionán de Barra on guitar who began his professional career playing guitar for Riverdance inNew York. He has been working with “the voice of Clannad” - Moya Brennan for over six years, for the last three years with the extraordinary successful group from the Shetlands, Fiddlers’ Bid and he also runs a successful recording studio in Dublin (producing albums for trad group Galldubh, for Moya Brennan, Camille O'Sullivan and, together with brother Cormac, Hazel O' Connor). Together they will reach into the very depths of your soul. The live-show and new album combines Hazel's unforgettable voice with the musicianship of Cormac in a stirring musical marriage. She writes from the heart, she performs from the heart and she touches your heart. Her husky voice remains charged with passion and her enthusiasm and love of music, never mind wicked sense of humour, is ever present. Touring extensively Hazel continues to delight concert and festival audiences along the way. Recent appearances have included Celtic Connections, Glastonbury, Henley, Wasted, Cardiff Big Weekend, Cambridge Rock Festival, Wickham and Beautiful Days in addition to tours of Australia ,Holland and the UK. No O’Connor show is complete without her original classics Will You, D-Days and Eighth Day nor her new classics Rebecca, Driftwood, Still Breathing, Strong, Acoustically Yours, I’ll See You Again, and more. Add to this recipe Hazel’s unique and unforgettable voice and you enter a new musical zone where pigeon holes become meaningless and anything is possible. Miss her at your peril!
