As many of you know, our community arts charity, has been bringing the arts to rural Pembrokeshire for the last 30 years. But this year, since SPAN closed its building and live events programme due to Covid-19 regulations, SPAN has been operating exclusively online.
We have been proud to be able to continue to offer a creative community service to the people of Pembrokeshire at this most challenging time.
We are strong advocates of the power of the arts to improve wellbeing, connect people and tackle loneliness and isolation by bringing people together through creative experiences.
During the  past 6 months we have been able to deliver a diverse and vibrant programme of online creative activities from online singing groups to live streamed gigs, online artist-led workshops in welsh folk, poetry, dance, craft and puppetry and even Theatr Soffa, a series of online community plays performed in English and Welsh via zoom and much more!

SPAN has also been able to support our long serving and new volunteers, who are a vulnerable group in and of themselves, with over 50% aged over 50, over 50% living alone and over 50% of new volunteers living with a mental health condition.
SPAN has also been able to continue to support local and national artists and musicians with vital paid work opportunities.
As these uncertain times continue we will also continue to put our community first enabling them to feel connected. Our digital doors are always open and we are only a phone call or email away. So stay in touch, keep an ear out for all our latest events and opportunities and stay safe.
