Celebrating Welsh Culture A Cappella Style!

Add +Being the only festival of its kind in Wales, it seems only right that this year’s Narberth A Cappella Voice Festival celebrates Welsh culture in true a cappella style!
From Thursday 18th – Sunday 21st, spectacular Welsh acts will dazzle audiences with their repetoire of tunes exploring the traditions, culture and heritage of this proud nation.
One such act will be premier Welsh choir Cordydd, whose sensational vocals have allowed them to win Choir of the Year award four times at the National Eisteddfod – more than any other choir!

They’ll be delivering impeccable harmonies to close the festival on Sunday 21st, demonstrating exactly why they’re considered to be one of the very best mixed choirs around.
Also preparing to wow a cappella fans during the festival is Welsh folk duo Ffynonn, singing beautiful melodies depicting the folk traditions, rhthyms, landscapes and epic history of the Welsh people.

To encourage the growth of such spectacular Welsh talent, this year’s festival will also welcome Côr y Gors, a unique vocal ensemble from Borth in mid-Wales, performing songs written for them by composer Nick Jones.
They’ll feature on Friday 19th February as part of Span Arts’ new festival initiative; raising the profile of contemporary a cappella music written and performed by composers and community choirs based in Wales.
Not to forget ofcourse, the fantastic intergenerational choir Côr Pawb who will kick off the festival on Thursday 18th, demonstrating incredible local talent and inspirational community spirit, while singing songs from around the world.
