Ronnie Scott’s All Stars will be at the Queens Hall, Narberth

Calling all jazz fanatics, Span Arts will be welcoming the world renowned Ronnie Scott’s jazz club for an extraordinary performance of ‘The Ronnie Scotts’ Story’ at the Queens Hall in Narberth, on the 5th March!

In a first for Pembrokeshire, the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars will present a visual and musical celebration of this spectacular club in association with Gravells KIA.

Performing classic music from the many jazz greats that have performed at Ronnie Scott’s in the past, this event promises to deliver an evening unlike any other; celebrating the incredible music and colourful history of a jazz venue truly worthy of its worldwide reputation.

Those involved in delivering this extraordinary performance to our local audience promise to combine top-class live jazz, exciting narration and rare archive video footage to document tales of old-school Soho, miscreant musicians and police raids; colourful history indeed!

The performance will chart the club’s rise from basement bar jams, through its trials and tribulations, highlighting those landmark performances that have made Ronnie’s so well-known to the jazz world.

Jazz enthusiasts and people from across West Wales looking to see something truly world class, will be blown away during an evening that evocatively reimagines life at Ronnie’s.

Tales of the club’s past visitors − including pop stars, film stars, politicians, comedians and royalty − will be told, with special emphasis given for those exceptional musicians whose music made history at the club.

Having welcomed some of the finest musical talent of the 20th century – including Miles Davis, Dizzie Gillespie, Buddy Rich, Chet Baker and Ella Fitzgerald − Ronnie Scott’s has become known not just for these notable performances, but for the stories of errant behaviour during these events as well.

This makes the story of Ronnie Scott’s even more absorbing, and we couldn’t be more excited to offer the people of Pembrokeshire – and those further afield – the chance to experience it!

Grab your tickets here before they sell out; alternatively, give Box Office a ring on 01834 869323 and secure your place at this outstanding event.
