Taking family theatre outdoors for Easter!
A two-week holiday for Easter gives us an extra opportunity to entertain families across the county, and this time we’re taking it outdoors for a (hopefully) bright and sunny theatrical performance!
The award-winning Feral Theatre will be delivering Monarch within the beautiful surroundings of Colby Woodland Gardens, on Thursday 7th April.
With Spring in full bloom, we thought there would be no better way to get people breathing in fresh air and exploring the outdoors than with an enchanting theatrical experience that all members of the family can enjoy.
Monarch’s story of adventure, coming-of-age and transformation will take the audience on a journey through Colby’s spring woodlands with a lost troupe as they search for a new leader; expect storytelling, spectacular visual theatre and talented song.
This will mark the second year that Span hosts an outdoor children’s theatre event in collaboration with Colby Gardens, building on from last year’s successes which saw us sell out before the event had taken place.
Not only do outdoor theatrical productions such as this allow families to take advantage of nature’s beauty, it also encourages the younger ones to learn through adventure and play; and there’s no better way to learn than with a little fun.
Colby Woodland Gardens are especially breath-taking; expect streams and stepping stones; a beautiful wildflower meadow and colourful walled garden; shady woodland walks and an abundant insect life for the children to seek out.
The event itself is suitable for ages 4+ and will have two showings: 10am and 2pm. Please note that while the morning showing will be fully accessible, the afternoon showing will not be suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users.
After last year’s sell out, we’re urging all families to book in advance and avoid dissapointment. Grab your tickets here or give us a call at Box Office on 01834 869323
We hope to see you there!
