Span ‘S’ Competition Brief 

We are launching a competition open to anyone as part of the Span Digidol project to create a digital moving image or animated film inspired by our Span ‘S’ logo. The creations of the selected winners will be embedded on our website in rotation and used in Span’s social media posts and at the beginning of films made for the Digidol project over the next 2 years. 

We encourage you to be as creative and innovative as possible! You can use any material in the making of your logo, such as fabric, papers, plastic, metal, wood, paint, threads, food, liquids, objects, light, sound, people, environments, as long as it becomes recognisably a Span ‘S’ in the process.  

Specifications: 

  • 16:9 ratio (standard screen proportions) 
  • 1080 x 1920 resolution (HD) 
  • Films should be under 10 seconds long 
  • Acceptable file formats: MP4, Quicktime movie, downloadable Vimeo link 
  • Use your name as the title of the file for submission 
  • No titles or credits, these will be added later 
  • Please complete a submission form with your entry 

Deadline: Midnight, Wednesday 12th December 2018

2 x tickets to see Ghost Story, theatre production at Haverhub 

2 x tickets for Span Xmas Bonanza, Sheelanagig 

The winning films will be used in rotation on the Span Arts website, YouTube and social media platforms as well as potentially forming part of other films produced by Span Arts. 

Rights and credits: Copyright for all submitted material will become the property of Span Arts Ltd.  Contributors will always be credited for their work.
