The Team behind Span Arts

People often ask who runs Span and we tell them that it’s mostly volunteers and it is. However some volunteers have greater input than others.
:: Trustees :: Employees :: Volunteers :: Members ::

The people who take ultimate responsibility, for managing both the charity and the company, are a diverse group of Pembrokeshire people who have a shared interest in ensuring that there is a series of high quality performances and workshops accessible to everyone. These folk are the directors and trustees who meet monthly to review the work done and plan for the future. These important volunteers put in numerous hours of skilled work to ensure Span stays on the right track, solvent and in business. In addition to the trustees, workers both paid and voluntary are involved with specific projects.

The range of music, theatre, dance, spoken word, puppetry etc., that Span promotes at the Queens Hall and other venues is extensive and tries to reflect the tastes and aspirations of Span members.

EMPLOYEES
Span has a changing number of paid workers depending on funding.
Co-ordinator: Declan Connolly - the constant presence dealing with promoters, artists, performers and venues, writing the marketing blurb and persuading all sorts of helpers to make the shows and workshops happen with style and efficiency. He is the invaluable bedrock of the day to day running of the organisation and brings with him extensive knowledge and expertise.

Office Administrator: Donna Harding Appointed in November 2005 Donna joined us to handle the telphone enquiries and keep the books. She works as a volunteer with Common Ground and has gained her masters degree and still chosen to work with us! We are very pleased to have her here as a bright and colourful presence.

We have recently, and reluctantly had to say goodbye to our fundraiser/workshop co-ordinator Tracy Williams, because the funding did not match our outgoings.
