Yn y cyfnod Celtaidd, roedd y Gwanwyn Echinox\u2014diwrnod o oleuni a thywyllwch cyfartal\u2014aed yn ei ystyried yn amser adnewyddu a thrawsnewid. Roedd cymunedau&#8217;n dod ynghyd i groesawu&#8217;r dyddiau sy&#8217;n ymestyn drwy fwyd, c\u00e2n, a defod, yn aml yn tanio tanau fel symbolau o gynhesrwydd a
